Eleanor Riches Hall

On February 6th, my beautiful Grandmother passed away. She was 90 years of age, and left the world with family who loved her so much, right at her side. One month before she passed, my Aunts and Uncle took her to the War Museum in Ottawa, and my Uncle took this photograph. It's stunning. It is the perfect example of when photographs speak words that our verbal vocabularies cannot. I wanted to share it...because it somehow captures so beautifully, yet so painfully, the end of my Grandmother's time with us.

yum

One of the coolest shoots I've ever been on was for a small Spanish cafe on the Danforth in Toronto. A completely new concept for me, I was asked to capture the food and atmosphere for a new menu and website. The owners were so sweet, the food was amazing (of course I was invited to stay for dinner and enjoy everything after.)  The coolest part of the day...for the first time ever I was working with an art director...and I was honoured. My art director was Roger Christian, Oscar winner for Art Direction for Star Wars. Amazing. (Nicest person ever...)
